Hunting leases can provide an additional source of income for the forest landowner. In many cases, leases can help pay for most or all of the property taxes. A well selected hunt club can also maintain the tract and assist in patrolling the roadways, paths, and boundaries. Many of the same techniques used in forest management (burning, thinning, spraying) enhance many of the selected wildlife species.
