William H. Lock & Associates, Inc. offers a high level of mapping capability. We utilize a Trimble Geo-XT unit along with Solo Field mapping software. The unit is capable of sub-meter accuracy and can provide highly accurate field maps of stand locations, creek and buffer locations, property corners, and other features. Tree inventories can be completed with a high degree of accuracy along with an attribute table of the individual point location.

We utilize ESRI Arc View 9.0 for our GIS applications. Color photography (where available), Topographic maps, and black and white aerial photographs can be incorporated into management plans, tree inventory reports, and timber sale information.
